Johnny Roscoe always had a penchant for getting into trouble. But he preferred getting into trouble alone—not with his dim-witted brother tagging along. However, on her death bed, Johnny’s mother made him swear to take care of his younger brother, Hoyt. Ever since then, Johnny kept his promise to Ma Roscoe. That vow is the only thing that kept Johnny from dispatching his own brother…and the fact that Hoyt has an inborn gift for cracking bank safes.

When they started their life of crime, Johnny and Hoyt were simply known as “The Roscoe Boys.” As their “jobs” grew bigger and bolder, they decided to expand their operation. Zal “Bad Dog” Munna soon joined the pair, and eventually the armored buffalo hunter, Idok Ydoom. When the reader meets this ragtag group in Return to West World, the “Roscoe Gang” has just recently increased by one—Billy Riderwood.
